Internet: Definition, History, and Its Development

Internet stands for Interconnection Networking that means the several connection or computer used telephone, satellite, etc. internet allows computer user around the world to communicate and share information by sending each other emails, connectyour computer to another computer, send and receive files in the form of text, video, audia, social networking and others.
The history of internet development is began when the US Department of Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (ARPA) funded a research project a packet switching etwork known as ARPANET in 1960s. Then, in 1989, world wide web was combined. In early 1990s internet expanded quickly to universities, companies, governments, individuals, and families.
Nowaday, companies, individuals, and institution use internet in many ways. Companies use internet for electronic commerce (e-commerce) including advertising, trading, and providing customer service. Business and institutions use internet for voice and video conference that enable people to telecommute media and entertainment run online news and weather services over internet, distribute music and movie, broadcast audio and video including radio and television. Individuals also use the internet for communication, entertainment, finding information, and buying or selling goods and services.
